100 things about me in 100 days [or more]: #37

37. I did no homework in my 8th grade algebra class. We were asked to grade our own homework and then the teacher called out names and had us report our scores orally.* I figured that I was at least as smart as Cindy, who was a few names ahead of me in alphabetical order, so I would take her grade and add a point or two if they were available when I reported my grade.

* A practice which clearly would not be allowable today. It might not have been allowable in 1981-82.
